Sherlock's PubSherlock's PubSherlock's Pub

What's in a Name?

Built in 1994 as part of the Carriage House addition to The Ann Stevens House, the pub was named after noted English writer Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's fictional character, Sherlock Holmes. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle, a noted Spiritualist, was quoted ”The reader will judge that I have had many adventures. The greatest and most glorious of all awaits me now.” The quote stands the test of time, as Sir Arthur obviously was on his way to Sherlock's Pub for an evening of cold ales, good food and great conversation. Over the past four years, Sherlock's has taken on a life of its own. The mingling of Lake Helen, Cassadaga, and visiting guests from around the world have developed some interesting dialogue, along with some colorful characters. A few of Sherlock's noted events; Talk Like A Pirate Day, The Black & White Ball, New Years Eve Celebration, The Spring Bash, and Rubber Eraser Day.

Sit Long, Talk Much, Laugh Often, the sign over the Gazebo
in the court yard, is best suited for Sherlock's Pub.
